I was on a men's group call this week when something happened that stuck with me.
One brother asked another a direct question about his workout commitment. No lecture. No shame. Just a question that cut through the excuses. The kind of question that makes you sit up straighter.
I watched the other man pause. Really pause. And then he answered honestly.
That moment reminded me why we need each other. Research shows that accountability partners make us less likely to skip workouts and more likely to stay consistent. But it goes deeper than fitness. Having someone who will ask the hard question might be the difference between drifting and growing.
I want to be the kind of man who asks those questions. Direct. Loving. The kind that helps a brother see himself more clearly.
Who in your life asks you the hard questions? And when was the last time you asked one?
Brian
